Our history
Our winemaking legacy began five generations ago deep in the Massif de Saint-Thierry. Join Hautbois Champagne in Pévy, a lovely village whose name comes from the Latin for vine stock, “Pes Vitis”.
We apply sustainable and integrated methods to our 8ha of vineyards. We grow the 3 main Champagne varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Forgotten grape varieties have joined the vineyard in recent years: Arbane, Petit Meslier and Pinot Gris.
We have been certified by VDC (Sustainable Winemaking in Champagne) and HEV (High Environmental Value) for our respect for traditions and the land (ground cover, mechanical weed control and tillage).
Our Family
There have been several generations of men and women, vine growers, coopers and winemakers since 1829, but the Hautbois family still has the same love for the land, vine and wine trade. Now it’s Sandrine and Fabien’s turn to keep their legacy of passionate winemakers alive.
